I accidentally started my trip early, or ended it late

Upfront prices are based on the best available route between the rider's pick-up and drop-off points.

We understand that sometimes you may accidentally forget to swipe to start the trip, or may end it too early by mistake. There will be some trips which end up being significantly different than expected. We know this happens from time to time. In the following situations, the upfront price will not apply and the actual fare will be calculated on actual time and distance if the applicable threshold is met:

- You encounter unexpected traffic and the trip takes much longer than expected;

- You have to take a detour which makes the trip significantly longer and slower;

- The end destination is significantly further or closer from the initial requested destination; or

- If the rider adds or deletes stops in their app.

In all other situations, the Upfront Price will apply. For details of the situations in which the fare will be based on the actual time and distance travelled instead of Upfront Pricing and the thresholds that apply
