Upfront fares are calculated using the expected time and distance of the trip and local traffic, as well as how many riders and nearby drivers are using TaxiF LLC at that moment.
However, in some cases, the upfront fare shown to you may fallback to time and distance based rates:
CHANGE IN DESTINATION OR PICKUP POINT: If your pickup point or destination change from the locations you specified while requesting the trip, your fare will be charged based on the time and distance of the actual trip.
CHANGE IN ROUTE: If your driver does not follow the estimated route and takes a detour, or there were additional stops beyond the route, your fare may change to account for the extra distance driven.
HEAVY TRAFFIC: Heavy traffic may cause your trip to take longer than expected and to compensate your driver for the additional time, your fare may change.
